Children and Youth

The greatest gift that a congregation can give herself is a time for the community to gather in study, fellowship, and prayer; St. Cross has taken that beautiful gift and wrapped it in a great big bow at 9:00 each Sunday morning.

Nursery Care

Birth - 3 years

An accessible, engaging nursery is one of the first places perspective members with young children look for and ours is just that. Our nursery caregivers are dedicated to our youngest members and guests, week after week. Stop by and thank them for being the first stop on the path to membership for many of our visitors.

Godly Play

4 years - 3rd grade students

Godly Play is a Montessori based children's curriculum that was created by Jerome Berryman, an Episcopal Priest. St. Cross has used it for nearly a decade and we are raising inquisitive, reflective students who 'wonder' through an exploration of our faith. Our talented, certified Children's Ministers nurture our youngest members through experiential …

Visual Art as Prayer

A new tradition with St. Cross this year was our installation for Pentecost. From the organ loft to the chancel steps, nearly a quarter-mile of glittery tulle was draped in the church. This labor of love added to a stunning worship experience. Our team looks forward to carrying the tradition forward, throughout Pentecost, and with glitterless tulle this year. We shared the tu…

Christmas Pageant

The more that I hear about this wonderful tradition, the more pride I have for being a part of it. Like all good traditions, no one is quite sure when it began but one thing is for sure, this community is very proud of it. From lighting and to fog machines, music to staging, this gift to ourselves is as much a process of love as a performance. Like any experience, the memory l…
