What DO you know about the Episcopal Church?
As I said last week, we are going to highlight a ministry or two that will be starting up in the fall.
Episcopal 101 is going to be a six week class starting in September for those want to learn about the Episcopal Church, or want to refresh what they learned at some point in the past. This class CAN be preparation for confirmation, reception, or reaffirmation. Don't know what those mean? No worries. This class will tell you. In this course we will talk about why we believe what we believe. It will talk about sacraments, theology, scripture, tradition and reason. Join us on Sundays AFTER the 10 am service. We will publish the start date when we have our fall calendar fully set.
Acolyting: We have gone without acolytes for our simple summer service. Our Acolyte Coordinator, Scott Crowell, is looking forward to welcoming back the current youth acolytes and is also looking for the youth who would like to join us in serving at the altar. To learn more, please reach out to Scott or one of the clergy.
Sacred Ground: When the special email went out last Monday, it failed to mention our meeting time. It gave the dates, all Wednesdays, but didn't say that it will be from 7-9pm. We will start on zoom as we are hopeful that members from our sister congregations in the area will join us. We may switch to in person for a meeting or two, but that remains to be seen at this time.
