Vestry Candidate: Dennis Ittner
I would like to serve on the St. Cross Vestry because: Serving on the St. Cross Vestry is a way for me to give back to the church community for welcoming me the way that it has. During the pandemic, like many people, I felt that my spiritual life had stalled and joining St. Cross and the Episcopal Community got it back on track.
In my life’s work, I am/have been particularly good at these skills: 1. Planning and coordination. 2. Incorporation of technology into different applications. 3. Ability to see issues from different perspectives. 4. Experience working with the public as a government employee.
Other skills that I have which could be valuable on the Vestry: 1. Background in engineering. 2. Graphic design experience.
Special hobbies/interests which I enjoy 1. Spending time with family and dogs. 2. Following the Dodgers and the Kings. 3. Doing the New York Times crossword every day.
The area of ministry that interests me most is: Making connections with the local community.
