The Message of Love
Last week in my sermon I asked how we take Jesus' message of love out into the world. How is it that we balance the joy of the birth of Jesus and the responsibility that goes with Jesus being Emmanuel, God with us? How does following the Christ child alter our lives Monday through Saturday, or all the times when we are not in church. While this might seem a heavy duty, it can also be a joy.
One gathering that often sparks joy in our community is our pageant, which is this Sunday evening. We hope that you will come and join us for this event, back inside this year. Yes, there will be some changes, but your kids and youth in costume, telling the story that is so familiar and yet calls us into relationship with God... joy is almost inevitable.
