Ever hear a lectionary reading on Sunday morning that leaves you scratching your head? One of the challenging things about preparing sermons is all of the material that, while interesting, isn’t essential. It’s what winds up on “the cutting room floor.” Like any editing process, some of this is really hard to leave out!
So it’s a delight that St. Cross has created a time for people to come together, look at Sunday’s readings, ask questions, and talk more deeply about what the scriptures mean and the context in which they were written.
