Next Steps with In-Person Worship | St. Cross Episcopal Church

This week we will continue with our 7:30am indoor and 10:00am outdoor services.

But next week, June 13, we will return to both services inside at 8am and 10am. Masks must be worn at all times. There will only be music at the 10 am service. There will be no singing by the congregation, and the four choir members will sing for us. But to make up for not singing, you are welcome to bring your own coffee, tea, or cocoa in a travel mug and sit out in the garth after the service for a brief coffee hour. Vestry will even serve you a donut.

We continue to take small steps toward return. As we have been reading in our Path Bible study, return after exile wasn't easy. The needs of the whole community were more important than the needs of any individual. Counter cultural, but perhaps Christian culture for our time. We all look forward to a time when we can sing together and see each other's smiles without a mask. Thank you for your patience and feedback as we continue our steps into being church in person again.
