I would like to serve on the St. Cross Vestry because: As a relatively new Espiscopalian, I am very interested in how the parish/diocese/denomination is organized and how the pieces all fit, and function, together. I also would like to get to know more members of St. Cross on a deeper level, and serving on the Vestry will give me that opportunity.
In my life’s work, I am/have been particularly good at these skills: Leadership (managing people in a thoughtful, supportive way), being organized and reliable, communication (especially written), and DEIB support and sensitivity.
Other skills that I have which could be valuable on the Vestry: My undergraduate degree was in Theater and I have an MBA - which is an interesting combination when it comes to having skills and traits that are both “soft” (empathy, listening), and “hard” (finance, marketing).
Special hobbies/interests which I enjoy: Singing in the choir, going to concerts and theater (see above), and reading
The area of ministry that interests me most is: Social Justice issues and Community outreach
