LA County Indoor Mask Requirement | St. Cross Episcopal Church

Yesterday, the L.A. Department of Health announced an indoor mask-wearing requirement will go into place across the county at 11:59 PM on Saturday. The Vestry discussed this possibility with Rev. Rachel before she left on her trip and we’ve reviewed the order. Our conclusion is that masks will be required for our indoor services on Sunday. The Bishop of the Diocese of Los Angeles has asked churches to faithfully abide by this ruling as well:

As Rev. Rachel previously wrote, following along with the various COVID protocols has certainly been challenging for everyone. But in prioritizing everyone’s well-being along with staying in compliance as a public gathering place, we feel this is the right choice. We'll communicate any changes as they develop.

Note that masks will remain optional for Sunday’s beach service as it takes place outdoors.
