Flowering of the Cross This Sunday! | St. Cross Episcopal Church

We are in our 50 days of celebrating this Easter season, and one way we mark the transition to this season from Lent is through the Flowering of the Cross. The Flowering of the Cross represents the transition from meditation on Jesus' death to the celebration of his resurrection. We transform a barren cross, a reminder of Jesus' death, into a symbol of life and beauty.

This Sunday, April 7th, is when we perform this ritual together. Please bring flowers from your garden and come ready to continue celebrating Easter!
