Election Forum Sept. 27 at 12:45 PM
The Peace & Justice Community will present its annual Election Forum on Sunday, September 27, at 12:45 p.m. (giving everyone time to attend church, coffee hour, and then have a bite to eat before we get started on Zoom). Please sign up at Sign-Up Genius at this link and you will be given the Zoom link and number. You will also be asked for your email address, so we can send you the written discussion of initiatives.
This year, the group will present just 5 of the 12 initiatives, but all will be written up in our standard format – pros, cons, and funding. If anyone would like to present any of the 7 that are written, please contact Mervis at 310-944-0191. We welcome all participants from the congregation, from all sides of the political spectrum, with the only caveat being that you must present both sides of each argument! There will be time after each presentation to ask questions, about the presentation and also about the initiatives written up by that speaker. (And you can call or text Mervis, or email her at merv4peace@gmail.com if you are unable to attend the forum but would like a copy of the write-ups.) We hope you join us – being an informed voter has never been more important!
