Confirmation, Reception, Reaffirmation - Oct. 8th
Bishop John Taylor, the Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles, will be at St. Cross on Sunday, Oct. 8th! Bishop Taylor will offer Confirmation for those who are interested. Confirmation is a chance for those who have been baptized at an early age, "to make a mature public affirmation of their faith and commitment to the responsibilities of their Baptism and to receive the laying on of hands by the bishop." (BCP, p 412) The Bishop will also offer Reception for those who have already made a mature public affirmation of faith but would like to be received into the Episcopal Communion, and Reaffirmation for those who have been away from the church and would like to reaffirm their baptismal vows. Adult Confirmation classes will begin on Wednesday evening, Sept. 13.
