Coming Soon to St. Cross (and the weekly email)
My heart is still filled with the joy of Easter morning. Thank you to everyone who helped our liturgy be a moment of true glory as we celebrated Jesus' resurrection. And thank you to everyone who has commented that it was a particularly joyful morning.
The next few months are filled with Christ-centered activities and opportunities from worship to service. We continue to serve others with three different ministries: Laundry Love, Shower Ministry, and a revitalized Neighbor to Neighbor program. Additionally, our Adult Forum hour and our Episcopal 101 have been well attended and are great learning opportunities. On May 21, we will have our Camp Stevens Sunday, and the director will be here to preach. Vacation Bible School, summer liturgies, beach mass and much more are already planned and ready for you to join us. Keep reading the weekly emails for more information.
Also in the weeks to come you will see a variety of voices in the weekly email. Jack Tedford, our Senior Warden, Lizabeth Thompson our Junior Warden, and both associates, Rev. Stephen and Rev. Josh will be writing the lead article for our weekly emails. They will keep you up to date with all that you need to know during my sabbatical (who knows, maybe we will continue this rotation even when I return).
As we continue as a parish to concentrate on restoration and growth as we serve others as a sign of God's love, prayerfully listen for where God is calling you to participate in our parish life.
Yours in Christ,
Rev. Rachel+
