Do you want to be empowered and equipped to be a companion to loved ones who are nearing the end of their life? Episcopal Communities & Services offers a class about exactly that. The class meets once a week for six weeks. This class will offer resources about end of life spirituality and logistics, it will help boost your skills for compassionate listening and presence, it will introduce you to end of life care, policy and procedures. And it will give you strategies as a caregiver on how to practice self care and avoid burnout.
The next training is at The Canterbury, 5801 Crestridge Rd, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 90275 on Monday evenings,April 15—May 13, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. ECS team members are complimentary; scholarships are for public enrollees.
