Blessing of the Backpacks | Sunday, September 5, 9:00-9:45am
Children and youth (and adult learners too!): grab your backpacks and other learning devices and come on through the St. Cross parking lot for a special blessing as we kick off the school year. One of our clergy will be at the main parking lot entrance (near the dog rest area) to greet you and offer the blessing as students head back to school. Students will receive a trinket they can clip on their bag to remind them throughout the year that they are God’s beloved. Drive on through to have your backpacks blessed and then park and come to church at 10am, or, you’re welcome just to drive through for the blessing itself. Either way, we’d love to see you!
